There are two or three common errors that some Clients make when adding a new domain to their account here at D9...
1. Have you created an Add On Domain for your domain name?
Please ensure that if you have purchased a new domain name either from D9 or from another registrar, that you have created an add on domain for it in your cPanel. All additional domains added to your account MUST be added to your cPanel as an add on domain.
2. Please ensure that your nameservers are set to point to the correct server.
You can find out which server your account is on in your client area at https://d9clients.com/clientarea.php
i. Click Services > My Services at the top of the screen
ii. Click the ACTIVE button to the right of your package
iii. You can locate your nameservers under the Nameserver Details section
3. If you have created an add on domain in your cPanel but when you type your domain name into your browser you see the following or similar:
Index of /
* .ftpquota
* . cgibin
Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at yourdomain.com Port 80
this DOES NOT mean that your domain is `not showing' or there is an error. This is perfectly normal.
When you create an addon domain, until you upload something to that domain all you will see is an empty directory, which is what is showing in the example above.
The home page of any website is ALWAYS called either index.html index.htm or index.php As soon as you upload your website with the home page being the index page, your website will show. You will NOT see a D9 Hosting holding page, as you may have done with your primary domain when you first opened your account
