Over time, the price for a product or service may change, meaning that an existing PayPal subscription that has been previously set up to pay for the item is no longer for the correct amount.
To get around this, you have two options, you can either:
a. Cancel the PayPal subscription from within your PayPal account and set up a new PayPal subscription
b. Modify the existing subscription so that in future, it sends the correct amount
In this article, we will show you how to modify an existing PayPal subscription. So to modify an existing PayPal subscription, please follow the steps below.
1. Log into your D9 Hosting client area and click on the "View Invoice" button next to the unpaid invoice.
2. Select PayPal from the drop down box at the top right hand side of the invoice, and then click on the PayPal "subscribe" image.
3. You will then be directed to the PayPal website, enter your PayPal login details and click on the "Log In" button.
4. You will then be shown an overview of your old PayPal subscription, (shown by arrow 1 in the image below) and underneath it will be the details of the new subscription terms (shown by arrow 2 in the image below). To confirm the changes to the subscription, click on the "Save" button. (shown by arrow 3 in the image below)
That's it! The subscription for the new payment amount will now be active, and a confirmation of the subscription modification will be sent to your PayPal email address.
