Upcoming EU VAT Changes
- Tuesday, 23rd December, 2014
- 11:07am
From January 1st 2015, D9 Solutions Limited is required by EU law to charge VAT on our services based on the location of the client, rather than the location of our business (the UK).
So rather than charging all EU based clients VAT at the UK rate of 20%, from January 1st we will be charging clients the VAT rate specific to their country. For example, a client from Belgium will be paying 21% VAT from January 1st rather than the 20% currently being paid, and a client from Malta will be paying 18% VAT from January 1st rather than the 20% currently being paid.
These changes will come into effect on January 1st 2015 and only apply to clients located within the EU. If you are located outside of the EU then this does not apply to you.
If you have any questions with how this pertains to your account please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
