It's very rare for Google to come out and tell you how to improve your Search Engine rankings for your websites but in the past few days they've done just that.

Google have announced that they're now going to use how safe your website is as a criteria for ranking your websites. They are calling for https, EVERYWHERE.

Don't believe us? Take a look for yourself:

How do people access your website? Is it HTTP://domain.com? Or is it HTTPS://domain.com?

What's the difference?

Well, the latter example means that you have your website installed on a Dedicated IP Address with an SSL Certificate installed. This allows for a secure connection between the web server (the server hosting your website) and the web browser (the software your website visitor is using to browse your website) meaning that any data passed to the Web Server from the Web Browser is encrypted rather than passed over in plain text, making the whole browsing process MUCH safer for your website visitors.

Google have indicated that they're starting to use HTTPS as a ranking signal. For now it still carries less weight than other signals such as high-quality content — to give webmasters time to switch to HTTPS. But over time, they have said they may decide to strengthen it, as they want to encourage all website owners to switch from HTTP to HTTPS to keep everyone safe on the web.

You can make Google happy, increase your rankings and ensure your visitors feel safe when visiting your website by installing an SSL Certificate on your websites.

A standard Single Domain SSL Certificate plus a Dedicated IP address and free installation can be ordered here:
